Privacy policy · Version 2026-10-09
Your record.
Your choice.
Your tracking records are stored on your device. Qnetica does not receive or remotely access those records through the app. Apple or Google and RevenueCat process subscription information separately. Sharing, online features and device backups have separate privacy considerations.
1. Who we are
Qnetica operates mytagen and mytagen.com. This policy explains how the app, website and support contact handle information. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or complaints, email contact@mytagen.com.
Updated 9 October 2026. This policy is available in the app without an internet connection and at mytagen.com/privacy.
2. Your record stays under your control
The app saves the information you enter locally: daily ratings and notes, symptoms and sleep entries, medication, supplement and meal logs, activities, blood-pressure readings, test scores, libraries, saved research, attachments and app preferences. It uses these records on your device to display your journal, charts and reports.
Qnetica does not receive or remotely access your locally stored tracking records through the app. There is no mytagen account, server-side health-record database or account-based cloud sync. We do not sell your tracking records or use them for advertising. If you deliberately send a report or attachment to us, we can of course read what you send.
The mobile app uses local device storage. In a browser, records are stored in that browser’s local storage database, not in an online mytagen account. A different browser or device will not automatically have your record.
3. Exports, sharing and backups
You decide whether to save, print, copy or share a report. PDF reports respect your selected sections. Text/AI exports include all reviewed records for the selected dates, including sections you excluded from the PDF, so they may contain more information. Both formats are readable and unencrypted. Review the contents and recipient before sharing. Share to AI prepares an export for you to send, save or copy using available device controls; it does not automatically send your journal to an AI provider.
A recipient, printer, email app, cloud drive or AI service may keep and use what you share under its own terms. Copies in downloads, the clipboard and other apps are outside mytagen’s controls.
Portable .myta backups are encrypted with the passphrase you choose. Keep that passphrase safe; Qnetica cannot recover it or restore records we do not hold. This backup encryption is separate from the app’s working database.
Your operating system’s device backup or transfer settings may include app data and create copies, including cloud copies. mytagen does not operate that backup service. Review the backup settings and policies of your device provider.
4. Subscriptions and purchase information
On supported mobile releases, Apple App Store or Google Play handles subscription payments. RevenueCat helps us verify purchases, manage subscription access, restore purchases and understand subscription performance. Billing connections can begin after you acknowledge this policy, even before you start a trial or purchase.
The store handles your store account and payment details. Qnetica and RevenueCat can receive purchase history, product and transaction identifiers, receipts or purchase tokens, price and currency, and trial, renewal, expiry or refund information. RevenueCat also processes a billing identifier and technical information such as device type, operating system and last use. Network connections expose routine connection information, including IP address. The app does not collect your payment-card details.
The app uses a RevenueCat-generated billing identifier, sometimes called an anonymous App User ID. This is not a guarantee of anonymity: it is associated with purchase activity and may be linked when purchases are restored. We do not attach your local profile name, email address, journal entries, medication details, reports or other tracking records to billing requests. This subscription integration does not upload your health record.
Qnetica can view subscription information in store and RevenueCat administration tools. RevenueCat processes customer data using hosting in the United States; the stores and their providers may also process information in other countries. We use billing information for access, restoration, support, subscription analysis, fraud prevention and required financial records. Relevant records may remain after cancellation for those purposes and applicable retention obligations; deleting local app data does not delete store or RevenueCat records. Contact contact@mytagen.com about access, correction or deletion of billing information handled for Qnetica. Store account and payment requests are also subject to the relevant store’s processes.
5. Online features and Neuro
Journal content and report preparation stay on your device; subscription checks use online billing services. Online content is different: opening News can load saved search queries from Google News; article links, previews, images and favicons contact their providers. Browser requests may use the AllOrigins proxy. Requested URLs, query terms, IP address and routine connection information can be visible to those services. Search terms may reveal health interests. Do not put private journal details into news queries or external links.
The app currently loads fonts from Google Fonts. This can send your IP address and browser/device connection information to Google, but does not send your journal entries.
Neuro selects prewritten guidance within the app; it is not an AI clinician or a health-data chatbot. Optional read-aloud uses your browser or device speech service, whose processing depends on the selected voice and device settings. mytagen does not use the microphone to listen to you.
6. Website visits and contacting us
Visiting mytagen.com does not give the website access to the records inside your mobile app. The website is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical request information such as IP address, browser/device information, requested URLs and security or error events to deliver and protect the site. Hosting logs may be available to Qnetica.
The website does not embed advertising trackers or a health-record upload form. Its demonstrations use fictional records. Cloudflare operates internationally and may process request information in locations including the United States and Europe; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its international processing and retention practices.
If you email contact@mytagen.com, Qnetica and its email provider receive your email address, message and any attachments to answer your enquiry and manage support. Please do not send health records unless they are necessary and you choose to do so. External email, app-store and other services apply their own privacy policies.
7. Security, retention and deletion
Protect your device with a passcode, keep it up to date and be careful when sharing access. The working database is not separately password-encrypted by mytagen; its protection depends on your device or browser security. Local storage is not a guarantee against loss or unauthorised access.
Your app records remain locally until you edit or remove them, clear app/browser storage or uninstall the app, subject to your platform’s backup and restore behaviour. Removing daily entries does not also erase your libraries, saved attachments, exported files or backups. Manage those separately. Uninstalling or clearing storage can cause permanent loss if you have no usable backup.
Qnetica cannot retrieve, correct or erase a local record it does not hold. You can review and change your records in the app. For support correspondence or website information we do hold, contact us to request access, correction or deletion. We retain support information only for as long as needed for the enquiry and legitimate legal or security obligations; hosting providers manage their own technical-log retention.
8. Your choices, questions and complaints
You can decline the setup acknowledgement and stop using the app. Accepting this policy is not permission to sell your records, send them to an AI service, or collect new categories of health data. Each export or sharing action remains your choice.
Contact contact@mytagen.com with a privacy question or complaint, without including unnecessary sensitive details. We will review the issue and respond. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the privacy or data-protection regulator in your jurisdiction for information about your rights and available complaint processes.
We record the policy and health-notice version and the time you acknowledge them in your local app settings. Material changes will be explained in the app and updated on the website; a new version may require a fresh acknowledgement.
